 "I've put your name down as the emergency for our trip to Canada." Neville's pronouncement in mid-2004 was, for me, the start of it. Would I get to go, or wouldn't I? Will any of the original 6 members drop out, thus leaving a place which I could take up?
Finally, in December 2004, it was apparent that I would be included in the trip. And so began the enormous amounts of frantic, frenzied planning, which is now all finally coming together. Which motorcycle insurance company will insure foreign travellers? What personal Travel Insurance policy should I take out? Vaccinations? Passport valid? Flights, Frequent Flyer if possible!
