The doors of EICMA were just about to open when BMW Motorrad put in the big one and wheeled in Concept 6.
A stunning six-cylinder motorcycle, with a motor that will in future power an innovative and luxurious Tourer.
The new light-weight motor is only slightly wider than many conventional four-cylinder motors and uses the latest in technology. There are no specific details but the power should be similar to the current K series with a very flat torque curve with 130 Nm available at 2,000 rpm. On the rev side it will spin out to around 9,000 rpm.The only hint as to engine capacity is that to expect something more than 1.6 litre.
The Café Racer Concept 6 is a stunning motorcycle that is both emotively engaging and a true motorcycle that can be ridden. Its muscular shape highlights the engine and a raft of technology that will filter through to other future BMW models.
