QLD Govt Rider Survey

Courtesy of the BMW Motorcycle Owners Club (Gold Coast) June 2014 newsletter,  they have advised us of a Queensland Government discussion paper on motorcycle lane filtering, rider control (one handed riding, standing and taking your feet off foot pegs) and helmet compliance approvals (ie: Aus vs. comparable country approvals).  The discussion paper includes an online survey seeking community feedback.

The link to the discussion paper and survey, is provided to all interested and affected parties,  not because you live in Queensland, but because what happens in one state can in-time filter through to other states and even nationally.  You do not need to live in Queensland, nor be a rider or pillion to complete the survey.

The discussion paper and ~10 minute online questionnaire is here https://www.getinvolved.qld.gov.au/gi/consultation/2067/view.html

You are urged to take part in the survey.    The survey closes on 3rd of July at 11.59pm

Please share this information with other interested parties.

It’s now official, after a trial run there will be a club get together on the last Saturday of the month at the Emerald Bakery Kilvington Drive Emerald. Rock up from about 9.30 onwards for a coffee, some cake and a chat. If members feel so inclined they can channel their coffee fix by riding some of the great roads the area has to offer. There may even be an organised ride or two. So come along and meet some other members who can’t get to other club events.
